A veteran lobbyist, Katherine Brandenburg has more than 30 years of experience in the political arena, including over 20 years as an advocate in the California State Capitol. Her broad spectrum of experience in developing and addressing public policy issues at both the state and local levels make Katherine a trusted public policy advisor and advocate for some of the largest companies in America. She has a specific focus on matters pertaining to energy, transportation, housing, public safety, cellular phone technology, education, the recycling of international metal commodities, and the management of industrial hazardous waste.

Katherine started her own lobbying firm, the Brandenburg Group, in 2013. Prior to that she was a registered lobbyist and government affairs consultant with The Flanigan Law Firm, a Sacramento-based firm specializing in legislative and regulatory advocacy where Katherine spent 22 years representing Fortune 500 corporate clients before the California Legislature and various agencies and departments of California state government.

Katherine also directed the day-to-day operations of the California Housing Council (CHC) and the California Cellular Carriers Association (CCAC), as well as managing the Political Action Committees of both associations which combined made well over a million dollars per year in political contributions. She started her career as an executive assistant to the Chairman of the Republican Party and to Governor George Deukmejian's Chief of Staff.
